Update on Neighbourhood Meeting Held on January 18, 2022

On January 18, Regional staff and architect Linnea Chamberlain presented the design for the new affordable housing coming to 416 Kingscourt. The presentation to residents included the following:

  • Proposed plans for parking;
  • Images of the new building;
  • Unit and amenity space layouts;
  • Landscape and playground plans; and
  • Construction timeline

This was also an opportunity to hear from the community and answer any questions or concerns they had about the new development. A frequently asked questions (FAQ) document has been created that provides responses to questions that were asked in the meeting. This FAQ document can be found at: FAQs | Affordable Housing - Kingscourt Drive, Waterloo | EngageWR

A video of the meeting has been posted online for those who were unable to attend. A link to the video can be found at: Videos | Affordable Housing - Kingscourt Drive, Waterloo | EngageWR.

Updates on the project’s progress will continue to be posted on the Engage Region of Waterloo project page at: Affordable Housing - Kingscourt Drive, Waterloo | EngageWR.
