On Wednesday, December 15, Regional Council approved the 2022 budget.
The Plan and Budget supports Council's vision to build a world-class community.
It includes investments to:
Build affordable housing
Improve the wellbeing of Indigenous, Black, African, Caribbean, racialized and other marginalized communities
Improve the mental health, safety and social determinants of health for residents
Implement the recommendations of the Anti-Racism Advisory Working Group
Expand sustainable transportation
Advance climate change, and more
1,452 residents participated in the Engage Waterloo Region survey. The Region would like to thank the community for their input and feedback in helping to shape the budget!
