Construction Update - June 25, 2021

The south side of Bishop Street at the King Street intersection is closed for underground work with reopening planned on or about the Week of July 5th. Sidewalks and pedestrian access at the intersection will continue to be maintained. View detour map here.


Work completed to date:

  • Roadway excavation on south side of King Street between Chestnut Street and Bishop Street;
  • Curb placement on south side of King Street between Chestnut Street and Bishop Street;
  • Asphalt paving on north side of King Street between Chestnut Street and Bishop Street;
  • Underground sanitary and storm sewer work between Chestnut Street and Bishop Street;
  • Street lighting poles installation between Dolph Street and Lowther Street.


Work to be completed over the next 2 weeks:

  • Underground work at south side of Bishop and King Street intersection;
  • Continue sidewalk installation on south side of King Street between Dolph Street and Lowther Street, and between Bishop Street and Montrose Street;
  • Landscaping behind new sidewalk once sidewalk installed.
