Ideas from City of Waterloo Museum:

  • Join us for 'What's for Dinner Wednesday?' This new weekly series shares take out ideas/meal options from local businesses and serves up a side of history. Information available on the City of Waterloo Museum on Instagram or Facebook. Support local!
  • Download and colour the City of Waterloo Museum 2021 calendar. Great for all ages and includes a little bit of Waterloo history. You can also pick up a copy at the Museum.
  • Waterloo Museum weekly Waterloo only trivia. Play along with us every Tuesday on Instagram!
  • Mount Hope Cemetery Walking Tours with City of Waterloo Museum guides. Pre-registration required.
  • City of Waterloo Museum exhibit videos. We Built This City about early Waterloo mayors is a particularly fun one!

  • Throughout this pandemic, the library branches are closed, however, you'll be excited to know they have a host of virtual programs and interactive resources online for people of all ages. We encourage you to visit their website to learn more.

  • Epic chalk drawings - Share a spring message or maybe even prepare something for a father’s day card!
  • Make a COVID time capsule - Make a COVID time capsule and look back on living during these unprecedented times. Visit LetsEmbark.ca to download a template (kids or adult options). Keep your work safe to show your grandkids one day!

  • Make a Mood Board for Your Dream Home - Even if it's just in your imagination, this will get your creative juices flowing and help you feel more inspired to achieve your goals.

  • Join the local Bags to Sleeping Mats initiative. Participate by collecting, cutting, or crocheting a mat. Anyone can contribute and there are three Waterloo locations for bag drop-off.
  • We're 'In This Together'! Continue to be kind to yourself and each other. Show your support by colouring and displaying one of our signs in your window.
  • Join the Finding Hope movement! Finding Hope invites you to look for and acknowledge where you find hope. Then take a picture. Write about it. Film a short video. Share the hope you found with others. Create and share your own stories of hope and share them using the hashtag #FindingHopeWWR or #FindingHopeMovement.
  • Look up! The next time you head to Waterloo Park check out the newly installed artwork banners hanging along the trail. The new Waterloo Park Art Walk features the work of 24 artists selected by a jury to be a part of the program. Each piece references the nature, scenery, or landscape of the park. This exhibit is along the trail promenade between Caroline St to Seagram Dr. Enjoy the outdoors and see some beautiful art along the way.
