Seamless, Sustainable and Smart - Meet KCTH
Waterloo Region is one of the fastest growing communities in Canada. As we grow to a community of one million residents and visitors, building transit infrastructure for the long-term is critical.
Whether residents are getting around our three cities and four townships, commuting for work or heading into Toronto for a concert, sporting event, or travel further abroad, the Kitchener Central Transit Hub will make getting around easier, more affordable and more sustainable than ever.
Design, development and construction of the Transit Hub is made possible through the Region of Waterloo’s partnership with Metrolinx and the City of Kitchener. This project was formerly known as Kitchener Victoria Transit Hub.
Key Principles of the Transit Hub Include:
A Central Connection Point – Linking intercity and provincial bus routes, GO Transit, VIA Rail, and local transit.
Multi-Modal & Accessible – Designed for pedestrians, cyclists, and commuters with seamless connectivity.
Sustainable Transportation – Providing more options for travellers choosing sustainable transportation, reducing emissions, and fostering a cleaner future.
