The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is reviewing eight regional governments (Durham, Halton, Muskoka District, Niagara, Oxford County, Peel, Waterloo, York), Simcoe County and their lower-tier municipalities. In total,82 municipalitiesare included in the review.
The objective of this review is to ensure that these municipalities are providing the vital services that residents and local businesses depend on.
The goal is that these municipalities are:
working well and supporting the future economic prosperity of residents and businesses
working harder, smarter and more efficiently
Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Steve Clark has appointed Ken Seiling and Michael Fenn as special advisors to assist with this review.
To help inform the special advisors’ recommendations to Minister Clark, the provincial government is seeking your feedback.
