1965, I started to work East Popcorn for Ranger games, Jr B games, wrestling, circus, Ice Capades..etc etc COE. Also worked other concessions. Met my first husband there. After working at Aud, continued to go to Ranger games for many years, my grown children and grandchildren continue to be Ranger fans.

I still recognize many people from working at the Aud. - Barbara Davis (Weber)

Our late evening pick-up hockey group enjoys the game and comradery in the dressing room. While there are always new players joining and some leaving, many of us have played together for years. When one of our players was killed in an automobile accident many of us where affected. At our next game, we had a brief but meaningful time of sharing memories, prayer, and a moment of silence at center ice of the Kinsmen Arena. - Scott Albrecht

Born and raised in Kitchener, I'm fortunate to have several awesome memories that involve the Aud. One special memory was October 27th 2018. My Mom and I had front row seats to see the "Farewell Tour" which included Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir and many other figure skating greats. It was an amazing night !!

    * The Aud turns 70 and my Mom turns 80 this year.

I had the honour of being one of the first Suite Hostesses hired when the suites first opened. We hosted so many armature and pro-athletes, families and business people, dignitaries and celebrities. My favourite night was during the 2008 OHL Final, when I had the pleasure of hosting for Jacques Martin, then the Florida Panthers head coach (before our beloved Pete DeBoer took over the position the next season).

Our Rangers were guaranteed a spot in the Memorial Cup, as we were the hosts that year, but simply going was never going to be enough for us Ranger fans: we wanted the win. I remember the Rangers won the first 3 games, but then lost the next 3 to Belleville. When he entered the suite that night, Jacques asked me what I thought the outcome of the game would be. I told him I had faith in our Rangers - but Jacques was not as confident in our boys. Of course, our Rangers pulled through with a 4-1 win. On his way out for the evening, Jacques winked and said "I never should have doubted you".

The Aud throughout my lifetime: I attended COE every year when I was a child. I sat front row for Supertramp when I was 18. My WLU commencement in my 20s. And returned in my 50s for Sting concert.

The Aud was always a fixture. I had no idea it's ONLY 70 years.

This is my dad Ken Hecktus, this photo was taken on January 16, 2015. He was an usher at the Kitchener Auditorium for over 25 years. He loved spending his Friday nights cheering on his Kitchener Rangers and chatting with the many friends he had made over the years. This photo is special to me because it represents one of his true passions in his life, he passed away in April 2017. - Kim Ludolph

I remember going to the Aud as a child with my dad to watch the Rangers game, and us having a pizza beforehand. In the first period of the game, they gave away a free Pepi's Pizza to one random seat, and it just happened to be us. I love Pepi's Pizza but I was so full from the other pizza I had eaten that we gave it away to people in our section - Michael Puopolo
