Thank you to everyone who shared their stories, photos or videos about The Aud this spring! The video commemorating The Aud’s 70^th anniversary featuring your content is now available on this page and on YouTube. This year The Kitchener Memorial Auditorium is celebrating 70 years of memories with the residents of our community. In honour of this amazing building we want YOU to help us collect digital content of The Aud to celebrate our history!

For the past 70 years, The Aud has been famously known as Kitchener’s premier sport and entertainment venue, hosting national and international competitions, shows, and trade shows. Whether it was at your favourite concert, watching your child play their first hockey game, or catching a special show with a loved one, we want to know your favourite Aud Memories!

This page will serve as a hub where residents are encouraged to send in their personal images, stories, and videos related to The Aud. All approved memories will then be posted on the memory wall for residents to connect and engage.

Michael Brown with wife Ruth. Michael was on the Board of Directors for many years, and spent 25 years at every game volunteering; selling tickets for signed Rangers Jersey's, to raise funds for kids! Great Job Mike! Photo taken April 22, 2019. Each game you would see Michael standing in the main entry, in Jersey. Michael has always comments how he watched toddlers/babies come to the games over the many years, with loved ones and how he saw them as kids growing up. Now; how these toddlers and baby's have babies of their own which they are bring to the Ranger games. Michaels is now retired and has passed his Jersey torch on and tickets sales still go on today. - Ruth Brown

This was my son Dallas 12th birthday on March 6 2020 game we had such a great time at the Aud that night as usual little did we know that everything would change with sports the following week. We miss this place can’t wait for more hockey. Gooooooooo Rannnngersssssss!!!!! - Dino Cipriano

A special day for Mayor Dave Jaworsky and Mayor Berry Vrbanovic . The photo was taken January 9 2015. It was the first time that both of us were at #TheAud together after becoming Mayors of Kitchener and Waterloo on December 1, 2014. Kitchener Rangers CEO Steve Bienkowski and Past-President Craig Campbell presented us with our own jerseys with the number 15 on them that night. - Berry Vrbanovic

Game puck

This my son, Liam, holding the official game puck that was tossed to him by one of the workers after the game. Now, we usually stick around longer than most after a game so that we avoid much of the traffic leaving the building. We also take the time to just look around and take in the beauty of the arena. While we were waiting, my son saw the game puck just sitting in the crease. The guy who was removing the net from the ice saw the puck as well. He picked it up and that's when we started banging on the glass. We got his attention and motioned to him to flip the puck to my son. He motioned to us to come to the Zamboni entrance instead. We walked over and he kindly handed the puck to my son. My son still proudly displays the puck on his desk in his bedroom. - Erik Woods

This was me at game 3 of the playoffs in the first round vs Guelph I was super pumped to be at the Aud for the playoffs the place was rocking I was decked out in my Rangers jersey I also brought my rangers flag to wave every time the rangers scored and I even wore my rangers scarf and shades to the game even though the rangers lost the game I was proud to be there cheering on the Rangers in East Avenue. - Cody Mcammond

I was fortunate enough to celebrate my 60th Birthday at the Ranger game on January 25, 2019. (Birthday is January 26) The only disappointing part was the Rangers lost to Flint that night. My family knows that I love going to all the Ranger Games and I am so disappointed when I have to miss. - Jane Vetero
