The planned improvements for Teakwood Drive, Teakwood Place, and Thorncrest Drive are:

  • Replace the existing sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain to meet current capacity requirements and design standards.
  • Replace the existing sanitary and water service laterals to each property from the new mains to the property line.
  • Replace the existing asphalt with a new 7.0 metre wide paved roadway and install new concrete curb and gutter and replace all existing sidewalks with new 1.8 metre wide concrete sidewalk.
  • Replace all existing driveway ramp entrances within the municipal right-of-way to conform to current city standards.
  • Restoration of disturbed areas with topsoil and sod.

Project details are available in the Public Information Package.

We want to make sure that anyone affected or interested in this work can easily stay informed about the work being done, and how it may affect them. We want you to let us know if you have any special requirements or have experienced any issues in the past that we may be able to address as a part of this project. This includes things like basement flooding, special driveway access requirements during the construction phase, information on your existing house services, or anything else you think we might need to know, particularly if you have special needs regarding access for mobility issues. If there is something that will help us reduce impact to you during our project, please let us know! We are listening.

Due to COVID-19 and the recent success of online project engagement, a formal in person Public Information Centre (PIC) will not be held during the design phase of the project. The City has prepared an information package detailing general project information and frequently asked questions. In addition to the material contained in the information package, documents that would typically be presented at the PIC are posted on this project page:

    1. Description of the proposed works (narrated presentation video)
