Line 86 (Wallenstein) Upgrades

from 300 m West of Herrgott Road to 100 m East of Listowel Road

The Region of Waterloo is completing upgrades to a section of Line 86 through Wallenstein that will improve the infrastructure for vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and buggies travelling through the corridor.

Roadway improvements for Line 86 include:

  • Full reconstruction of the pavement structure
  • New curb and gutter in Wallenstein
  • Installation of new stormwater management measures to improve drainage
  • Improved pedestrian, cycling and buggy facilities
  • Utility relocation where necessary, to accommodate these improvements

* The scope of this project does not include the missing section of the Rail Trail (known as Guelph to Goderich Trail or Kissing Bridge Trail)

Refer to Appendix B for proposed cross sections along the project limits.

Improvements for this section of roadway are expected to be completed by November 2022 .
