In our last round of planting before the winter, we will be planting 108 trees in Eastbridge Green. The trees will be planted to create a naturalized area. The trees will be a mix of small and large shade trees, with specific tree species that can handle short periods of standing water.

Tree types: Shellbark Hickory, Black Gum, Eastern Redbud, Burr Oak, Red Oak, Flowering Dogwood, Kentucky Coffeetree, Pawpaw, Serviceberry, Red Maple ‘Frank Jr’, Swamp White Oak and Tamarack.

Next year, more trees will be planted along the pathway and sports fields, continuing through to Chesapeake Park, Bluenose Park and Bluenose Link.
