Where we're planting this June

June 2, 2026

We’re in the heart of planting season, and crews will be out across the city throughout the month planting new trees.

Heather Hill Link

New trees will be planted to add privacy to the adjacent backyards and to define the pathway between the existing spruce trees. Dead trees will be replaced as well.

Tree types: Sugar Maple, Kentucky Coffeetree, Hackberry, White Spruce, Canadian serviceberry, Smooth serviceberry, Burr Oak, Eastern Redbud

West Wind Park

We are planting 49 trees in West Wind Park. There will be shade trees along the path circling the ball diamond and around the playground. We will also be filling in a few pockets of grass to make mowing easier and to create naturalized groves within the park to help connect the tree canopy.
