This project supports the Region of Waterloo's strategic focus area(s): Icons representing the Region's strategic focus areas of Thriving economy, Sustainable transportation, Environment and climate action, Healthy, safe and inclusive communities, Responsive and engaging public service and Our people.

The Region of Waterloo is planning to make improvements to Ainslie Street in the City of Cambridge to address deteriorating infrastructure.

Improvements on Ainslie Street, from Water Street South to Concession Street, and from Simcoe Street to Water Street North, include asphalt rehabilitation.

Improvements of other sections of Ainslie Street from Concession Street to Simcoe Street will include replacement of underground and surface infrastructure such as:

  • Sanitary and storm sewers
  • Transmission watermain
  • Traffic signals
  • Street lighting
  • Roadway base and asphalt
  • Concrete curb and gutter
  • Sidewalks

An In person public meeting was held on May 29, 2024 at Cambridge City Hall.
