The City is initiating an application to amend the City's Official Plan and Zoning By-law for the lands at 579 (formerly 0) Grand Ridge Drive. The lands are designated Low/Medium Density Residential in the City of Cambridge Official Plan. The proposed Official Plan Amendment is to redesignate the subject lands from Low/Medium Density Residential to High Density Residential. The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the lands from R5 and OS1 to RM2 zone to permit an apartment building with site-specific provisions for increased density of 116 units per hectare (UPH), reduced parking and a maximum height of four storeys.
The applications are for the development of the vacant parcel located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Cedar Creek Road and Grand Ridge Road.
