This project supports the Region of Waterloo's strategic focus area(s):


The Region of Waterloo is currently considering improvements to the bus stops at Conestoga College Doon Campus. Based on technical studies and investigations completed to date, the project team is proposing the following improvements at Conestoga College Doon Campus:

  • Nine new bus bays with a transit-only entrance and exit off of Doon Valley Drive.
  • Canopies and shelters, including on-demand heating and scheduling display panels.
  • Covered bike parking.
  • Bus driver facilities.
  • Multi-use trail connection to Doon Valley Drive.
  • Benches and landscaping.
  • Space for future electric bus charging stations.

Project Update

The project team developed a recommended design that was presented at the January 16, 2024 Planning and Works Committee meeting for approval. Final approval by Regional council will be on January 24, 2024.

Construction is expected to start in 2025 and complete by the end of 2026 pending Regional Council approval.

    We will take these revised plans to the Region’s Planning and Works Committee meeting on December 5, 2023, along with a summary of any public comments received.
