The City of Cambridge is looking for public feedback on the proposed Cooper Street reconstruction design, an approximately 1.1 kilometer stretch of roadway that includes segments of Cooper St from Phin Ave. to Queen St. E., Queen St. E. from Cooper St. to Chapel St., and Chapel St. from Queen St. E. to the storm water outlet at the Speed River.

The design includes the reconstruction or addition of storm sewers, watermains, sanitary sewers, service laterals, granular materials, concrete works, and asphalt pavement within the project limits. A multi-use trail will also be incorporated into this project as part of the Proposed Bikeway Network outlined in the City's Cycling Master Plan (2020).

Public Consultation

Public consultation with residents, local road users, and stakeholders is an integral component of the design.

An in-person Public Information Centre will be hosted on June 28th from 5PM to 7PM in the Optimist Room of the Hespeler Memorial Arena located at 640 Ellis Rd, Cambridge. Residents are encouraged to visit during this time to learn more about the project and provide feedback.

An online survey will also be available on this Engage Cambridge page from June 14th to July 5th. Residents are able to provide feedback through this online survey. The survey is now closed.
