Welcome to the project page for the Fountain Street reconstruction project. The City of Waterloo is proceeding with reconstruction works on Fountain Street from Young Street West to Spring Street West. The scheduled work includes the replacement of sanitary sewers, storm sewers and watermains, as well as road reconstruction for the full extent of the project, including sidewalks. Weather permitting and pending Council approval, construction will start in the Spring of 2026, with substantial completion expected by late 2026.
