Project impacts

Residents in the construction area can expect the following while work is underway.

Water shutdowns will be required at key stages of construction.

You can prepare by having bottled water for drinking and water in buckets or tubs for flushing toilets.

Shutdown #1 – Overnight

Tentative date: April 1

An overnight shutdown of approximately 8 hours is required to install the first isolation valve.

The shutoff will begin between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m., with service restored immediately after installation.

Shutdown #2 – Daytime

Date: TBD

This shutdown is required to complete cut/cap work and install the water chamber. A water truck will supply water to the subdivision during this shutdown.

You will receive 48 hours notice before the shutdown.

Shutdown #3 – Daytime

Date: TBD

This shutdown is required to complete cut/cap work and final connection. A water truck will supply water to the subdivision during this shutdown.

You will receive 48 hours notice before the shutdown.

Residents may occasionally experience discoloured water due to disturbances from maintenance work or flushing from operations for construction installations

Do not drink discoloured water. Run a cold water tap for several minutes until the water clears. If the water is still discoloured after running the tap for five minutes, wait one hour and try again. If the issue persists, please call 519‑634‑8444 ext. 9403.

The entrance to Stonecroft Way from Haysville Road (Township Road 12) will be fully closed for approximately four weeks starting on or about March 30, 2026, weather dependent.

During this period:

  • Access to Stonecrest Subdivision, Stonecrest Recreation Centre, and Walker Woods Trail will be via Bonaventure Drive only.
  • Haysville Road will remain open for two‑way traffic.
  • Traffic control staff and barriers will be in place for public safety.
  • Occasional flagging operations will be required; please use caution.
  • A temporary pedestrian crossing will be installed.
