The City of Cambridge has initiated an Official Plan Amendment for the Hespeler Road Corridor Secondary Plan. The recommended Official Plan Amendment for the Hespeler Road Corridor Secondary Plan will be brought forward for a decision by Cambridge Council.

The City of Cambridge is developing a Secondary Plan for the Hespeler Road Corridor, as shown in Figure 1. The Secondary Plan will provide a planning framework to guide future growth and redevelopment along the corridor over the next 25 years, and establish the vision and goals for planning for a thriving, transit-supportive, community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and participated at our in-person open house for the Hespeler Road Corridor Secondary Plan on April 20, 2026. At the Open House, we displayed two question and answer boards to gather feedback on the draft Secondary Plan.
