Construction site setup will begin this week. Here’s what to expect during construction:

Schedule

• Construction is scheduled to run from February to September. Any timeline changes will be posted on this page.
• You will see site preparation beginning soon. This will look like construction fencing, environmental controls, signage, and a site office.
• The sewer works and facility installation will begin in March.
• The mailbox located at the trail entrance along Oldfield Drive will be temporarily relocated across the street. This allows safe access to the mailbox during construction. We are coordinating with Canada Post, and it will be put back once construction is done.

What to know

• As shown below, the trail connecting Darlington Place and Oldfield Drive will be closed. Trail closures may be adjusted once the project is in the trail restoration phase.

• The mailbox located at the trail entrance along Oldfield Drive will be temporarily relocated across the street. This allows safe access to the mailbox during construction. We are coordinating with Canada Post, and it will be put back once construction is done.
• Work will be done from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday. Weekend work is not currently planned.
• Noise, dust, and mud should be expected. The contractor will monitor mud and dust and clean up as needed.
  
• Increased construction traffic should be expected, especially during peak hauling periods. Peak hauling periods are expected to last 3 to 4 weeks, throughout the project. During these times, 25 to 50 trucks per day are expected. All construction traffic will be monitored to ensure safe operation.
