Share your feedback on the final urban plaza design

October 23, 2026

A new urban plaza is planned as part of the Kitchener Fire Station 8 and Housing Development, and we're inviting residents to provide feedback on the design details. The plaza is envisioned as a welcoming public space where residents, visitors, and building users can gather, relax, and connect. Planned features include seating areas, landscaping, decorative paving, planters, lighting, bicycle parking, and opportunities for public art.

While the overall layout of the plaza has already been determined, there is still an opportunity to refine elements such as seating, furnishings, and materials. Your input will help inform the final design details and identify opportunities to make the space more comfortable, inviting, and enjoyable for future users.

To explore the interactive concept design, browse renderings, and complete a short survey visit the project page.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts as we continue to refine this new public space.
