Approaches to Growth workshop

The City of Kitchener wants to know how you think our city should grow. Imagine a week in your life in Kitchener in the year 2051 – and then re-live that week as someone else. What kind of home will you have? What will your neighbourhood look like? How will you get around? Join staff at the upcoming Approaches to Growth workshop to find out.
Date: May 1, 2025
Time: 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Location: Kitchener City Hall Rotunda (200 King Street West)
You’ll be assigned a future Kitchener resident and navigate through a week in the life of that person, making decisions at nine key points. Each decision will have three options, reflecting different ways Kitchener could grow. You’ll consider where they live, how they get to work, the types of places they shop and what they do to unwind. After you’ve looked at the future from someone else’s perspective, you’ll complete the activity again as yourself.
Good to know:
- This workshop uses a drop-in format. Arrive any time and spend as much or as little time as you wish.
- Refreshments and food will be available.
- Staff will be on hand to answer any questions you might have.
