We’ve posted two new technical background reports to support the Kitchener 2051 Official Plan review.

The Growth Analysis Addendum and Supplementary Information Report provides updated analysis on designated growth area densities, land needs to 2051, additional residential units, work‑from‑home trends, and assumptions about non‑residential floor space. It refines earlier findings using updated provincial policy and recent development trends.

The Review of the Proposed Projection Methodology Guideline and Employment Area Removals examines provincial guidance on land needs assessment, compares methodologies, and reviews Kitchener’s employment areas in light of recent policy changes. It identifies where employment lands should be protected and where limited removals may be appropriate.

These reports help inform long‑term planning decisions about growth, housing, and employment in Kitchener.
