Westmount Neighbourhood Cultural Heritage Landscape Walkshop and Survey

13 March 2026

As we work on our new official plan, Kitchener 2051, we’re reviewing our Cultural Heritage Landscape (CHL) policies.

Building on the conversations from Fall 2025 about 4 neighbourhood specific cultural heritage landscapes in the Caryndale, Rockway, Queens Boulevard, and Pandora neighbourhoods, work is progressing on the Westmount East and West Neighbourhood CHL.

We’re holding a “walkshop” in the Westmount neighbourhood. This is a great opportunity to tour this neighbourhood and engage in a discussion about what makes it special and how it can be conserved.

Online survey

If you can’t join the walkshop, we still want to hear from you! Our online survey is open until April 1, 2026. Take a look at the walkshop slides, then share your feedback on what cultural heritage we should conserve in Westmount neighbourhood.
