Kitchener Natural Areas Program (KNAP) is an environmental initiative that promotes community involvement in Kitchener's natural spaces and urban forestry. It offers environmental stewardship projects, learning opportunities, and nature-based wellness experiences within the city.

We are currently exploring opportunities to expand KNAP’s volunteer and education programs, to increase resident awareness and engagement in the protection and enhancement of Kitchener’s trees and natural areas.

Your participation will help shape how Kitchener’s nature programs grow and improve so they better reflect what the community wants and needs. By sharing your experiences and ideas, you’ll play an important role in strengthening the future of forestry education and nature stewardship in our city.
