Property owners can apply to change the City’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law and divide land through a Subdivision Application. City staff review each request and make a recommendation to City Council, who will make the decision to approve or refuse the application.
Information on current planning applications can be accessed through a new, publicly accessible, mapping tool. This tool was created to increase transparency and improve access to information. Beginning with three types of development applications – official plan amendments, zoning by-law amendments and subdivision applications – and building out to all application types in 2022, information on each application can be obtained through this tool, including a description of each application, studies and reports and much more!
