City of Kitchener is looking for volunteers to join citizen committees and boards
The City of Kitchener is looking for a diverse range of volunteers, particularly from those who are traditionally under-represented to lend their unique voices and perspectives to help guide the City’s decision-making by joining various committees and boards. Citizens serving on an advisory committee provide advice and feedback to City Council and standing committees on a variety of areas, including arts and culture, cycling and trails, downtown, and the environment, and boards have the autonomy to make decisions for the good of their organizations.
Volunteering to serve on a citizen board or committee is an excellent way for citizens to become more involved in government processes and to make a difference in the Kitchener community. Please share this volunteer opportunity with your networks, and any family, friends or individuals who like you, are interested in contributing to Kitchener’s future by helping to shape the City’s decision-making.
Online applications are open and will be accepted until Sept. 27 at midnight.
Information, as well as both online application forms are available on the City’s website at www.kitchener.ca/citizencommittees. Candidates requiring assistance with their application can contact Sarah Coutu at 519-741-2200 ext. 7592.
