Calling all Cambridge residents to help shape the next decade of fire services!
The Cambridge Fire Department (CFD) is seeking your feedback to help guide and improve its services to you.
The City and CFD are updating the 10-year Master Fire and Emergency Services Plan (MFESP), originally developed in 2013. The Master Fire and Emergency Services Plan is a strategic document that will guide Council and City staff in providing effective and efficient fire protection and emergency services to Cambridge.
The Master Fire and Emergency Services Plan Update will be created by using the following methods of input:
Community Risk Assessment
Legislation
Industry best practices
Cambridge City and Fire Department personnel
Your feedback
You are invited to share your experience with the Cambridge Fire Department. Public surveys will be received until Friday, September 30th at 11:59 p.m. and will be considered in the development of the Master Fire and Emergency Services Plan Update.
In conjunction with the Master Fire and Emergency Services Plan Update a Community Risk Assessment is underway which identifies the needs and circumstances within the City based on an analysis of nine mandatory profiles related to existing fire risk and feedback from the community. The assessment, based on new legislation (Ontario Regulation 378/18) considers the community’s geography, building stock, demographics, critical infrastructure, hazards, response to public safety and more.
