The Township of Wellesley has retained Tatham Engineering to provide engineering services and project management to complete this infrastructure improvement project. Preliminary design work was completed in 2024, and tendering was finalized in the spring of 2026, where the project was awarded to Kieswetter Excavating.

This culvert replacement project was identified as a high priority through our Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM) reports that occur bi-annually. Construction began is planned to begin in July 2026 and is planned to be completed by the end of August 2026.

The scope of this project will see the current large diameter corrugated steel culvert replaced with a precast concrete box culvert of similar capacity.

This project is being fully funded from the federal Canadian Community Building Fund (CCBF).
