Upcoming curb and road work on Queen's Boulevard

August 5, 2026

Starting on or around August 5, 2026, crews will begin preparing for the installation of new curb and gutter on Stage 1 of Queen's Boulevard.

Please remove vehicles from your driveway by 7 a.m. on August 5, 2026.

There will be a period of time between curb installation and road paving. When paving work is scheduled, site crews will notify you that morning if you need to remove vehicles from your driveway again.

Driveway access

The contractor expects that driveway access will be unavailable for up to three weeks while curb installation and road paving are completed.

The length of this closure may vary depending on:

  • Construction progress
  • Concrete curing time
  • Contractor scheduling
  • Weather and other unforeseen conditions

We understand this may be inconvenient and will work to complete the work as quickly as possible.

Where needed, temporary wood ramps may be installed over newly poured sidewalks to maintain pedestrian access to homes.

On-street parking

Temporary parking permits have been issued to residents affected by construction.

These permits:

  • Allow parking for longer than three hours and overnight
  • Identify approved parking locations
  • Must be displayed on your vehicle dashboard

Please park only in approved areas and do not block construction activities.

We work closely with By-law Enforcement to identify residents affected by construction. However, illegal or unsafe parking will continue to be enforced.

For parking enforcement concerns, call 519-741-2345.

If you need additional permits, contact the Site Inspector or Project Manager.

Accessibility needs

If you have accessibility needs and have not yet contacted us, please reach out as soon as possible.

We will work with the contractor to arrange accommodations, such as:

  • Accessible parking
  • Moving assistance
  • Delivery access
  • Mobility-related access needs

Garbage and recycling collection

Please write your address on all waste containers and place them at the curb by 6 a.m. on your collection day.

The contractor will ensure your containers are moved for collection and returned afterward.
