As part of the City of Kitchener’s work to provide consistent and reliable services, we are planning road and sewer improvements on the streets listed above.
Construction is expected to start in spring 2027 and finish by late fall 2027. If you live on one of the affected streets, you will receive more information closer to the start of construction on your section of the road. Updates will also be posted below.
Planned improvements include:
- Upgrade the storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water mains, including fire hydrants where needed
- Replace sanitary and water service connections from the new mains to the property line
- Install new curbs, gutters, and sidewalks
- Upgrade the asphalt roadway
- Replace all driveway ramp entrances with concrete
These improvements will replace aging underground pipes and road features, helping to reduce the risk of future service problems. The project will be funded through utility user fees. There will be no direct cost to homeowners.
Before construction begins, the City will offer inspections of homes and businesses in the construction area to record existing conditions. This helps protect property owners and is completely optional.
