The Township of Wilmot is continuing the reconstruction of Snyder's Rd. W and Foundry St. in Baden.

Improvements will include:

• Installation of new sanitary sewer systems
• Implementation of storm sewer systems
• Upgrading of watermain infrastructure
• Construction of concrete curbs and gutters
• Addition of concrete sidewalks
• Development of concrete separated cycling lanes
• Reconstruction of the road base
• Application of a new asphalt riding surface

Project Phases

Work on this project will be completed in two phases. Click or tap the tabs below to learn more about each phase.

Phase 1 of construction included Snyder's Rd. W from Mill St. to Christian St. This phase was mostly completed in 2024, with final restoration to be completed in the spring of 2025.

Phase 2 of the project began on April 14, 2025, and should be completed in late fall. This phase will include Foundry St. from Snyder's Rd. to Charles St. and the remaining section of Snyder's Rd. W from Foundry St. to Mill St.

Phase 2 will be completed in three stages.

Stage 1A

Stage 1A complete.

Stage 1B

Stage 1B is in progress. Motorists and pedestrians can expect the following:

• Closure of Foundry St. from Snyder’s Rd. to Charles St.
• Closure of Snyder’s Rd. and Foundry St. intersection.
• Access to Baden Village Square Plaza will be via Livingston Blvd. from the north only
• Access to Tim Hortons will be via Snyder’s Rd. W from the west only
• Access to Castle Kilbride will be from the west only

Detours will be in place and all businesses will remain open during construction; directional signs will be posted.

Stage 1C

Stage 1C will begin after Stage 1B is complete. Motorists and pedestrians can expect the following:

• Castle Kilbride will be accessible from Wagler Ave. only
