Help Shape the Future of Sport and Recreation in Waterloo
The City of Waterloo is planning for the future of sport and recreation — and we want to hear from you. Community and Neighbourhood Services is gathering public input to help inform a new Sport and Recreation Action Plan, which will be presented to City Council in 2027.
Your feedback will help us better understand the changing needs and interests of our community, including how people use programs, facilities and spaces today, and what will be needed in the years ahead. Input will be reviewed using a READI lens and aligned with the City’s strategic priorities, including complete communities, environmental sustainability, infrastructure and transportation, and being future-ready.
Through this engagement, we’re looking to learn more about community-led and City-supported sport and recreation, including programs, policies and service delivery models. Your insights will help guide future improvements, investments and decisions so that sport and recreation in Waterloo continues to support healthy, connected and active communities.
