The Township of Wilmot is reconstructing sections of Victoria St. and Boullee St. in New Hamburg.

This extensive infrastructure project will modernize and strengthen area infrastructure, provide capacity for growth, and benefit both residents and business owners.

The work will be done in stages over the course of two construction seasons:

  • Stage 1 (complete): Reconstruction of Victoria St. from Highway 7 to Boullee St.
  • Stage 2 (starting May 2026): Reconstruction of Boullee St. from Victoria St. to Hamilton Rd

Stage 2 Construction Update

Stage 2 is expected to begin early May 2026 with Cassidy Construction returning to work on both Victoria St. and Boullee St. The final surface asphalt will be completed in 2027.

Scope of Work

Reconstruction of Boullee Street from the endpoint of Stage 1 (Victoria Street) to Hamilton Road.

Infrastructure Improvements

  • Installation of new sanitary sewer systems
  • Watermain infrastructure upgrade
  • Installation of multi use trail and concrete sidewalk
  • Reconstruction of road base

Construction on Boullee Street will be completed in two phases to maintain access to Tri-County Mennonite Homes.

Work will include:

  • Replacement of base asphalt
  • Installation of multi use trail, concrete sidewalk
  • Reconstruction of driveways
  • Landscape restoration
