Here's what we heard about the Victoria Park Master Plan

5 March 2026

We are creating a new Victoria Park Master Plan, guided by what we heard from thousands of community members between May and September 2025. Through conversations in the park, youth sessions, pop‑ups, online surveys, roundtables, and a dedicated working group, residents shared what matters most for the future of this well‑loved public space. Themes like safety, accessibility, natural systems, movement through the park, and opportunities for community gathering emerged consistently throughout the process.

We’re excited to share a new summary of the feedback we received last year! This summary highlights what we heard and how your feedback is shaping the vision for a resilient, inclusive, and welcoming Victoria Park for generations to come.

What’s in the report:

  • Key themes and priorities shared by community members
  • Experiences and values that matter most to park users
  • Opportunities to enhance safety, accessibility, and natural systems
  • Ideas supporting a more connected, vibrant, and community‑centered park

Next steps

Your input is directly shaping the draft Master Plan, and we are grateful to everyone who took part in the engagement process. We are now bringing your feedback forward to develop the plan and will share our progress over the coming months. Our draft plan and recommendations will be brought to Kitchener City Council later this year.
