Weaving the story of Victoria Park

2 September 2025

As our Public Engagement for the Victoria Park Master Plan winds down for the summer, our team held a free event this Saturday in partnership with Agnes Niewiadomski from Mindful Makers.

This event was a thank-you to the community for generously offering their time and thoughts over the last few months. Agnes and her helpers were kind enough to walk us through a free class of weaving willow leaves, while we also engaged with park users. Beautiful weather and lovely company!

We also had a visitor to our engagement tent during our event on Saturday that chose to colour one of our Victoria Park Master Plan graphics, and did an amazing job. We want to give a shout-out to Isla for her beautiful work! Thanks for coming out with your family to enjoy the park!

If you haven't already checked out our new engagement tool below - feel free to take a look and offer your feedback under 'Did we miss anything?' This interactive tool will remain open until mid-September and will help us understand if we've captured everything that we've heard from the public.

Our team will be busy over the next few months pulling together data from this engagement process (both online and in-person). We will analyze this alongside internal working group feedback, as well as operational and policy requirements and create draft recommendations to be presented to the public and council.

Thank you again for all your involvement and support!
