Proposed Development
Comprising of approximately 55 hectares, the subject lands are bordered by lands owned by the Township of Wilmot containing sanitary sewer infrastructure, future trail lands, and associated buffers to environmental features.
The lands were designated in the Township Official Plan as Industrial and Open Space as part of the last major update to the Official Plan in 2019. The current zoning is Zone 1 (Agricultural).
This application proposes to change the zoning of the developable portion of the subject lands to Zone 10 (Industrial) and zone floodplain and buffers to environmental features as Zone 11 (Open Space). The industrial zoning is proposed to restrict uses to those that are compatible with existing and planned residential development to the east and north of the subject lands.
