Proposed Development
The current zoning approved by Council in 2020 permits a residential apartment building and was approved based on a concept that contemplated an apartment building with 97 residential units with a height of up to five storeys.
Tri-County Mennonite Homes has received Provincial funding for a 224-bed long term care facility that they now proposed to develop on the subject lands instead of the previous approved apartment concept. This application proposes to rezone the lands from Zone 4 (Residential) to Zone 12 (Institutional) recognizing the change from a residential apartment use to an institutional long term care facility. Based on the concept provided, no modifications to existing Zone 12 regulations are required.
