We completed our first public information session and have moved forward with the first design stage using Option 1.

Option 1 improvements to the current conditions include:

• Existing back of sidewalk (private property side) will be maintained for both sides of the road.
• Travelled road width (face of curb to face of curb) decreases from the existing 7.5 meters to 7.0 meters to allow for a wider sidewalk on the east side of the road.
• New 0.5 meters curb and gutter will be installed on both sides of the road, existing configuration contains only curb, no gutters.
• East side of the road will receive a new 1.5 meters wide sidewalk. Existing sidewalk is1.2 meters, which will be maintained at three hydro pole locations.
• East side will also receive a new 0.3 meter wide concrete boulevard.
• West side of the road will receive a consistent 1.5 meters wide sidewalk with no boulevard.
• Intersection crossings for pedestrian will be improved to fully comply to AODA standards.

We are now moving towards the detailed design. The project schedule is on track and construction is still planned to start Spring of 2026.
