Background Studies Public Workshop

The Township is preparing a new Official Plan. The new Official Plan will build on the Township’s long-term vision for growth with a renewed focus on complete communities. This will include a range and mix of housing, employment opportunities, schools, recreational amenities, options for servicing, roads and active transportation while protecting natural heritage features and farmland.

The second public workshop is October 22, 2025 at the Wilmot Recreation Complex (2nd floor Community Centre).

The workshop will begin with a presentation to summarize the key directions from each of the Background Studies being prepared:

  • Housing Needs Study
  • Commercial Needs Analysis
  • Employment Projections and Employment Land Needs Analysis
  • Transportation
  • Water, Wastewater Servicing Strategy
  • Stormwater Servicing Strategy
  • Urban Design

The presentation will be followed by topic focused discussion tables where members of the team will lead discussions on the seven topics of conversation.

There are two sessions, so please register for the one that best suits your schedule:
