The Township of Woolwich, in partnership with Trees for Woolwich, is undertaking a rural road tree planting program across the Township. This is a Woolwich Council approved project being conducted to increase the tree canopy along the Township’s rural road network.

The program kicked off in Spring 2023 and is expected to continue in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. All of the tree planting is being completed by Trees for Woolwich volunteers, with the Township providing background support for the program.

Residents will be contacted if their roadway is identified as being wide enough to support the inclusion of new roadside trees that will be planted along the east or north side of the roadways.
