Do you enjoy small group conversation, but need to fit it into your busy schedule? Join a virtual kitchen table talk on Zoom. Tell us about your experiences engaging with the City and hear from other residents too.

During the conversation, a facilitator will guide the group through questions about:

  • Your experiences engaging with the City, both good and bad
  • The values or principles that guide how the City engages with you
  • How might the City improve so that engagement is more meaningful
  • Our collective aspirations and vision for a more engaged community

Registration is limited to 12 spaces per workshop, but feel free to bring a "plus one"! Couples, families, or up to 3 friends can attend as one group. You will all need to be together and use one device to join in.

  • The call is not recorded, but live transcription is turned on.

Here are a few suggested guidelines:

  • Stay present. Try to join from a quiet spot with few distractions. If you can, turn off notifications on your phone and laptop.
  • Everyone's voice matters. Remember each person has important perspectives to offer this discussion.
  • Share the air space. If you have already spoken, let others jump in. If you haven't, find your opportunity to speak up.
  • Extend grace. This is a mixed group of people. Start by assuming the best and giving the benefit of the doubt to each other.
  • We don't all have to agree. Disagree respectfully by commenting on the idea or issue, not on the person who brought it up.
  • Keep it classy. Threats, rude language, harassment and discrimination are not allowed.
