28. Trinity Anglican Church 12 Blair Rd., Cambridge built 1844, 1885 design: R.C. Windeyer (1885) Trinity, celebrating 175 years in 2019, is Galt’s oldest church building and the oldest stone church in Waterloo Region. This beautiful, simple Gothic Revival building is set in a traditional churchyard surrounded by a cobblestone fence with a lych-gate of 1909. Inside, the exposed-timber roof has heavy trusses decorated with ornate fretwork – a must-see. Also see beautiful stained glass windows, vintage wood trim, and lots of carved woodwork in the chancel by Waterloo’s Globe Furniture Company. The 1840s bell is still in use.
