The Region of Waterloo is responsible for building and improving sidewalks, multi-use paths, bike lanes, roads and underground infrastructure along regional roads. This work is essential not only to meet the needs of a growing population but also to support our sustainability goals by expanding our active transportation network.

During a construction project, we often invite residents to provide their input to ensure that the projects meet the needs of the community. Public feedback, along with technical requirements and best practices, are used when making road construction decisions.

Below are projects that are either open for public input (open for input) or have already received public input (in progress) and are moving forward into another phase of the project.

A list of all Regional road construction projects, with or without public engagement, can be found at regionofwaterloo.ca/construction or through the map on the right side of this page.
